Introducing our new look ....
The winter of 2019 has seen Grafton United embark on a refresh of our visual identity, introducing an updated club logo and heritage crest. Whilst recognising the importance of our heritage, our club colours and our mascot, Grafton United aims to foster an even greater sense of pride in our club and build a stronger connection between our juniors and seniors.
Grafton United chairperson, Mark Bird – who led the refresh committee – said: “Thanks to the design talents of president player Ben Handy and our committee, we have a fresh visual identity that aims to respect our heritage and foster a fresh sense of pride, particularly our junior players who’ll soon have the chance to wear a coloured playing shirt just like our Premier team.”
“On behalf of the club, I’d like to thank Ben, Charlie Smith, Leanne Cranefield, Penny Morton, Rob, and Michael Ruffell for their contribution to the refresh committee.”
The new club logo provides a modern take on the Grafton United lion and is a cleaner, more emotive design to inspire our membership and supporters on and off the field. With new many formats of the game emerging and the popularity of franchised T20 cricket we hope the club logo will help take Grafton United forward into a new era.
The club’s re-designed heritage crest will be used for special and formal occasions. It is inspired by our past crests, the Duke of Grafton coat of arms, and an important nod to our proud 157-year history.
Grafton United also looks forward to rolling out our new range of clothing from the 2019/20 season. The fresh new look will be available exclusively from Cricket Express online and instore in just a few weeks.
